With the rich history of WERD in America; as the 1st Black owned Radio Station in the United States and the historical comprisement of its members, one of them Marsha Washington George (niece of the station's 1st Program Director Ken Knight and later he became owner of the call letters).

Today, Stoni Taylor is the WERD Atlanta Facility Manager; and D.J. Commando is the Station Manager. The Program Director is Tonya Byrd. Along with Radio Consultant Harry Lyles and many other talented announcers.  The Atlanta Chapter of the organization is proceeding with professing all of what the station once procured for the city.  Along with sharing what the Hall of Fame's meaning would be for projecting African American History.  The renovated properties of the WERD Station will comprise of a view of the station with broadcasting artifacts.  Host a historic museum comprising of the former years of radio broadcasting that embellished the local listeners ears over the airwaves of the 860 AM station. TThe historic station is now open in its new location at 236 Auburn Avenue Suite 100 Atlanta 30303.

The National Black Radio Hall of Fame is the parent company of the WERD Historical Radio Station.
